Professional Associates

A comprehensive financial plan requires attention to not just an investment plan, but also tax exposure, major expense planning (i.e. college), estate planning and risk management.  To insure our clients achieve their financial goals, we work closely with other professionals including accountants and attorneys.   If you already have trusted advisors, we will gladly coordinate efforts with them.   If you don't yet have those relationships, we can engage one of our many partners.

Attorneys

While estate planning (wills, trusts, ect.) constitutes the majority of our work with attorneys, we also collaborate on issues including guardianships, divorce, elder law (i.e. Medicaid), asset protection and legal settlements.  We will work carefully with you to identify the attorney best suited to your situation in both expertise and personality.

Accountants

For most clients, we regularly request a copy of annual tax returns; they provide us with the information necessary to coordinate upcoming financial decisions.  It also enables us to serve as a "second set of eyes" to watch for potential errors (which we have, on occasion, identified to the benefit of our clients).  In more complex situations we will coordinate strategy sessions with your accountant.

Property & Casualty Agents

Clients often come to us unknowingly lacking coverage for specific liabilities.  When this happens, we will recommend an agent if the client does not already have one.
